Masculine does not mean black walls, and blankets with two pillows. Men have a wide range of things they like, and it is not hard to combine a man and woman’s tastes in the bedroom. There is the modern look; modern features with bedding to match. There are many great styles to choose from.
Avoid furniture designs and finishes that are excessively trendy if you’re spending the money to buy furniture that’s going to last a long time. Frivolous accessories are more easily replaced than furniture that has quickly dated.
Finding these styles and their looks are fairly simple. Most home design magazines will be featuring articles on leopard print bedding these days. But have you ever wondered how much it would cost if you wanted to do something similar to this. Many of us shudder at the thought of that. If it’s in a magazine than it must be expensive cause they have much deeper pockets than we do.
Size: The real defining issue is the right size. Big TVs simply don’t fit well into small spaces. Small TVs don’t function well in big spaces. It’s a good idea to use the medium size range as the starting point and figure out whether bigger or smaller works best.
Repaint your walls and assign an accent wall. You can use your furniture warehouse for the accent wall if you do not want to have a different shade of paint color in one of your walls.
Set a budget – Decide at the outset what you can and will invest. Determine the spaces (e.g., the family room) and the pieces (e.g., sofas or bedroom furniture) in which you’ll spend the most time, and build your budget around those. Don’t skimp on the sofa, but figure to save on smaller pieces like end tables and on accessories.
Pillows. You can always use pillows. Whether you are sitting up in your bed or someone is sitting on the floor. Pillows make a splash of color and have a function.
